Operations
Our sheep operations began in Indiana in 1988 and have grown to its new location in Collins, Iowa in 2024. Our Lambing and Finishing building was built in 2024 along with Hay and Equipment storage.
The Ewe Barn was built in the spring of 2025, with a full capacity of 720 ewes. We have two styles of feeding on our farm with the conventional grain and hay rations for the lambing faciltiy + TMR for our Ewe Facility.
We are excited to have guests through out to demostrate what we have learned over the years. We do ask all guests wear clean non farm clothers and boots upon visiting to mitigate the risk of disease as we are a bio-secure facility and are OPP and Footrot Free. We strive to maintain a "disease free" facility and offer the healthiest stock to our customers.
We have been a closed flock since 1988 and beginning in 2025 we are introducing the Tattykeel Dorsets genetics from Australia into a select few ewes via embryo transfer. This will be our first introduction of new genetics, bringing together two superior Dorset breeders creating value add to our operation and what we offer producers.
We look forward to our customers growth and success and hope to see you soon.
Thank you,
K+H Sheep Company, LLC
Lambing barn
Our lambing barn is built to house 200 ewes for lambing confortably and effectively. All ewes drop in the larger portion of the barn, moving to lambing pens for a short period. Ewes and Lambs are then moved to their respective lactation pens until weaning. Lambs grow quickly averaging 70-80lbs at 60 days of age.

Ewe Barn
Our Ewe Barn was constructed in 2025, built to house 720 ewes. This facility is fed via a TMR unlike our lambing and finishing barn. This is our newest faciltiy and offers great versatility in sheep management and husbandry, creating a clean and comfortable area for ewes pre lambing, post weaning, gestation and during times of maintenance.

Handling Facilities
Our handling facilties are the core of our working and sheep operation effectiveness. We use a Te Pari HD3 Automatice handler for sorting, weighing, trimming, vaccinating, deworming, RFID Reading, and sheep managment. We designed all aspects of our facilities and handling systems and work with producers world wide devopling long lasting, effecient, and safe sheep handling facilities.
All sheep are implanted with a food processor safe polymetric non migrating RFID microship. This allows for quick sorting and identification of sheep. We import these from New Zealand along with our Te Pari Tools and Equipment. All gating on the farm is hot dip galvanized for long life. All life data is collected and managed electronically allowing for better managment and access.
